Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the Neuro-Trauma PCU in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves direct patient care on a 48-bed unit, with day shifts of 12 hours and a rotating weekend/holiday schedule. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for licensed CNAs or LNAs.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, vital signs, documentation, and coordination with the care team. BLS and CNA licensure are required; prior hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA license in state of practice is required for new hires.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and assist in daily living.
• Record vital signs and input/output data; document in patient records.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, nutrition, and hygiene.
• Support unit operations and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Maintain supplies and complete clerical duties as needed.
• Ensure charting and physician orders are accurately entered in EMR.
