Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion Novant Health sponsored training program required.
• Life Support Responder certification within 90 days of employment required.
• Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant training required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Notifies nurse of changes in patient’s condition or behavior.
• Notifies nurse of vital signs and glucose levels outside normal ranges.
• Assists patients with hygiene and personal care, prepares mealtimes, and helps with meals.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and neat, stocks rooms, and manages supplies.
• Assists with patient elimination needs and comfort measures.
• Follows safety measures and infection control practices.
