Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Clinic/Practice Assistant for the Neurology and Spine team at 4 Centennial Drive, Peabody, MA. In this role you will welcome patients, schedule appointments, manage check-in/check-out, and support front-desk operations to keep daily visits running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2–3 years office experience, strong customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with medical records systems (Epic preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of office experience required.
• Strong customer service and clear communication with patients and team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office procedures (filing, scanning, etc.).
• Ability to manage calls, take messages, and route inquiries.
• Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
• CMAA certification preferred.
• Experience in a community-based medical practice preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients, creating a positive and professional experience.
• Schedule patient appointments and support check-in/check-out processes.
• Answer calls, handle routine inquiries, take messages, and route questions.
• Support patient documentation, filing, printing, scanning, and record maintenance.
• Assist with patient billing forms and co-pays when needed.
• Coordinate information like medical records, test results, prior authorizations.
• Use scheduling, registration, and billing systems and assist others as needed.
• Support advanced administrative functions such as surgical scheduling and template blocking.
