Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Davenport, IA, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Neuro/Oncology Unit. This part-time 24-hour week role covers a 7:00am–7:30pm shift with 0.6 FTE. You will provide safe, evidence-based care and coordinate with physicians, families, and the nursing team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree in nursing; a BSN is preferred. BLS is required; ACLS may be required if telemetry is in use. MercyOne is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Registered Nurse in Iowa, Registered Nurse in Illinois within 1 year.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter– Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessment.
• Identifies patient problems and develops plan of care.
• Implements outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises the plan as needed.
• Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates clinical competence.
• Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
• Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients.
