Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required (Illinois license if working in IL).
• BLS required; ACLS required if telemetry is used.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Strong math and computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments within 30 minutes of arrival.
• Develop outcome-based care plans.
• Coordinate care with LPNs, assistants and physicians.
• Ensure medication safety and adherence to 5 Rights of medication administration.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team and families.
