Atrium Health is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for the 9T Neurosurgical Medical‑Surgical Unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The role centers on education and onboarding for new hires, plus ongoing unit development to support staff and patient care.

The 9T unit is a fast‑paced 36‑bed service specializing in spine, neuro‑trauma, and stroke care; strong interprofessional collaboration and evidence‑based practice are essential. Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week with unit‑level flexibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN required; enrollment in BSN program within 1 year if not BSN at hire; completion within 3 years.
• BLS required; certification in leadership within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager to enhance nursing practice and care delivery.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates shift communications via meetings and huddles.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care and satisfaction.
• Delegates care to appropriate healthcare workers per policy.
• Assists in achieving department outcomes and communicates progress.
• Performs nursing care, treatments, and administers medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow, staffing, and acuity to ensure appropriate resources.
