Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Sheboygan, WI seeks a Nurse Aide to support licensed clinicians in daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, mobility, and comfort measures. You will document vital signs, I&O and weights in the EMR, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision.

The role requires basic computer skills, strong communication, and the ability to follow infection-control protocols. Prior CNA experience is helpful, but not always required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School equivalency diploma (HSED) is required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document accurately.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to maintain annual educational requirements for hospital certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Measures and documents vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN promptly.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge tasks under RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Runs errands, maintains nursing area supplies, and cleans equipment.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting, and safe transfers.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses TED hose or compression devices as needed.
• Follows infection prevention policies and proper PPE usage.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate patient care and growth/development awareness.
• May assist with IV removal, post mortem care, and bladder scans as required.
