Job summary

The role requires a GED or HS diploma, BLS certification within 45 days, and active Nurse Aide registration. No prior experience is required, and basic computer skills are beneficial for charting and communication.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the state registry.
• No prior experience required is acceptable.
• Basic computer skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation).
• Measures/records vitals and tracks intake/output.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care tests as directed.
• Runs errands, restocks nursing area, cleans equipment.
• Positions and transports patients with proper techniques and aids.
• Maintains skin care and uses correct patient supplies.
• May remove IVs, assist with post-mortem care, bladder scans as directed.
• Adheres to infection prevention and isolation protocols.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care principles.
