Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks a Nurse Aide to support the RN in daily patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation, with documentation in the EMR.

Education: High School diploma or GED/HSED; no experience required. You will perform rounds, assist with transfers, collect specimens as directed, maintain stock, and follow infection control policies. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, team-based hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for EMR documentation.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Certification Addendum: maintain annual hospital certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility).
• Record vital signs and other data in EMR accurately.
• Participate in admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing as directed.
• Maintain stocking, clean equipment and work areas, and run errands as needed.
• Follow infection prevention policies and wear appropriate PPE when in contact with patients.
