Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist for neuro-interventional procedures at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix. The role focuses on advanced imaging in a high-acuity environment, including thrombectomy, AVF/AVM, angioplasty, and coil embolization.

The incumbent will prepare patients and area, assist physicians, and ensure quality documentation while upholding radiation safety and aseptic technique. Shifts are 8a-5p in an assignment-based capacity.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Requires demonstrated competency in neuro-interventional radiology procedures such as mechanical thrombectomy, intra-arterial thrombolysis, AVF/AVM, angioplasty, coil embolization.
• Requires ARRT certification and state licensure; advanced certification within 18 months of hire if applicable.
• BLS certification; two years of clinical radiology experience.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, human relations, data analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Performs prescribed radiographic and interventional procedures following provider orders and department policies.
• Educates patients and families about procedures; maintains professional conduct and teamwork.
• Produces high-quality images and prepares documentation for interpretation.
• Operates and maintains imaging equipment; ensures aseptic technique and radiation safety.
• Maintains equipment quality control measurements and ensures safe environment for patients and staff.
• Demonstrates ethical, legal, and professional radiology practices and confidentiality.
• Manages workflow and inventory to prevent service interruptions.
