Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Neuro ICU Unit. The role supports RN staff in delivering high-quality care to neuro patients on a 7pm–7:30am shift with an 18% night differential and a $1/hour weekend differential.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assist with daily living activities, vital sign collection, and charting in the EMR. Banner Health offers a sign-on bonus for eligible CNA/LNA candidates and a Magnet-recognized

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and an active CNA license.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Previous medical clerical or hospital experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Record vital signs and document in patient records.
• Communicate patient status clearly to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic procedures and supply management.
• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate charts and ensure documentation is complete.
• Support unit operations and scheduling duties.
• Transport specimens and assist with patient movement.
• Support OR turnover and pre/post-operative transport when assigned.
• Provide excellent service to patients and families.
