Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Neuro Progressive Care unit. You will work with an interdisciplinary team supporting stroke patients and other neurological conditions, in a facility with advanced technology and a large pediatric presence nearby.

The role offers a full-time, night-shift position from 6pm to 6:30am, with an 18% night differential and a $1/hour weekend differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required; CNA license required.
• 1 year medical clerical experience preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient plan of care.
• Collect patient data and vital signs; document in EMR; assist with transportation of specimens.
• Recognize and report health status changes to licensed professionals.
• Perform procedures and assist with supplies under supervision of licensed staff.
• Handle receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations and communication.
• Maintain complete patient records, ensure chart forms are filed and accessible.
• Transport patients as needed and assist with OR turnover where assigned.
• Work under supervision in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
