Job summary

Banner Health’s University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant for our surgical ICU unit. You will work closely with registered nurses to deliver high-quality patient care on a fast-paced unit, including daily living activities, vital sign monitoring, documentation, and coordination with the care team.

This full-time, day-shift role includes weekend/holiday rotation and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for licensed CNAs/LNAs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with state CNA licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
• ECG or EEG interpretation training/qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility needs.
• Collect vital signs and document patient data in medical records.
• Communicate status updates to nurses and care team.
• Assist with basic procedures and supplies for patient care.
• Support clerical tasks to maintain unit efficiency.
• Maintain complete and organized patient records and charts.
• Support transport of patients and assist in OR turnover as needed.
