Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with a primary focus in Neuro Endovascular procedures. The IR Technologist I assists Neuro Endovascular and Vascular Surgeons in high-acuity cases at a Level I Stroke Center.

Responsibilities include imaging, medications, ALARA, and patient safety; ARRT-R certification is required with advancement options. The role includes day shifts at GMC with 40 scheduled hours/week, and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for eligible

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification required; primary cert before start date.
• Advanced ARRT certifications (ARRT-VI/CI/CV) to be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• BLS/ACLS (AHA) within 6 months; PALS for Geisinger GMC campus within 6 months.
• Graduate from Radiologic Technology program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct order, patient identification and documentation.
• Apply imaging protocols; follow ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality; manage data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Assist or perform interventional procedures as prescribed.
• Maintain intra-arterial access and preparation of procedure area.
• Record and monitor hemodynamic/electrogram data.
