Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist I to join our imaging team. The role encompasses patient care, procedural setup, and imaging across neur IR, IR, and related labs, with a sign-on bonus and robust benefits.

On-call coverage is required with prompt response times to emergent procedures. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program with ARRT, IEMA licensure, and BLS; ACLS within six months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences.
• ARRT Certification required.
• IEMA Licensure required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Performs interventional procedure setup, patient prep, procedures, and room turnover.
• Pre-procedure assessment of clinical data and patient information.
• Maintains sterile technique and asepsis throughout procedures.
• Assist with vascular access and procedural imaging coordination.
• Documents intra-procedural data in medical records and charges.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and room cleanliness.
• Responds to on-call needs within 30 minutes for interventional procedures.
