Geisinger is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist I to support cardiac, neuro, body, and vascular interventional procedures. The role includes preparing patients, administering medications, and assisting physicians with imaging studies in a clinical setting.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT-R and appropriate specialty certifications, ACLS/PALS, and radiologic technology training. The position offers unionized employment and a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification required.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program - Radiologic Technology.
• Advanced ARRT certification within 2 years of hire.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire (Geisinger campus).
• Certification in Cardiology radiology or ARRRT.

Responsabilités

• Ensure correct order, patient identity, and prep with confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols and ALARA principles to maximize safety and care.
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality and verify data archiving/transfer.
• Educate and supervise students and other health-care providers.
• Assist or perform fluoroscopic/interventional procedures as prescribed.
• Maintain intra-arterial access under supervision.
• Prepare procedure table and position patient for imaging.
• Monitor patient physiology during procedures and document data.
• Initiate ACLS protocols as needed.
• Perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures.
• Maintain and remove central lines per physician orders.
• Adhere to sterile technique during prep and setup.
• Record and analyze hemodynamic/electrogram data.
