Responsibilities

• Responsible for all EEG recordings: Awake, asleep, bedside and B.D. protocol video EEGs.
• Summarizes the patient's neurologic status and clinical history from the chart or other knowledgeable persons.
• Explains in detail the recording procedures to the patient and family and adapts methods to ensure comfort and minimal artifacts.
• Maintains proper scalp preparation, cleans hair as needed, and ensures patient safety during testing.
• Documents and logs clinical observations during seizures or emergencies.
• Ensures electrical safety and performs routine maintenance of EEG equipment.
• Keeps the EEG room clean and organized and manages supplies.
• Participates in conferences, technical meetings, and educational activities when possible.
• Performs other duties as requested.
