Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Per Diem EEG Tech for Neuro Clinical night shifts. The role involves performing all EEG procedures (awake, sleep, bedside, and BD protocol video EEGs) and summarizing patient status.

Responsibilities

• Performs all EEG recordings: Awake, asleep, bedside and B.D. protocol video EEGs.
• Summarizes the patient’s neurologic status and clinical history from chart or other knowledgeable persons.
• Adapts methods and instrumentation to keep the patient calm and comfortable during testing to obtain optimum results and artifact-free EEGs.
• Insures electrical safety of the patient at all times and maintains/repairs equipment as needed.
• Keeps EEG room clean and organized and logs all records for reading.
