Responsibilities

• Responsible for all EEG recordings: Awake, asleep, bedside and B.D. protocol video EEGs.
• Summarizes the patient's neurologic status and clinical history from the chart or other knowledgeable persons.
• Explains recording procedures to the patient and adapts methods to ensure calm and comfortable testing.
• Removes residue from scalp, dries and combs hair.
• Writes clinical observations during seizures and other patient emergencies.
• Insures electrical safety of the patient at all times, performs maintenance and minor repairs of the equipment.
• Keeps EEG room clean and neat, cleans equipment and closes containers of paste after each use.
• Participates in conferences, technical meetings, and other educational activities when possible.
• Performs other duties as requested.
