• Summarize the patient's neurologic status and clinical history from the chart or other knowledgeable persons.
• Explain recording procedures to patients to obtain calmness and artifact-free EEGs.
• Maintain electrical safety of the patient and report major problems.
• Keep EEG room clean and equipment well maintained.
