Qualifications

• 1 year experience in EEG technology or related field.
• Ability to perform EEG recordings awake, asleep, bedside and video EEGs.
• Capable of summarizing neurologic status from charts and history.
• Maintain safety and proper handling of EEG equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all EEG recordings: Awake, asleep, bedside and B.D. protocol video EEGs.
• Summarizes the patient's neurologic status and clinical history from the chart or other knowledgeable persons.
• Explains recording procedures to patients and adapts techniques to reduce artifacts.
• Removes residues from scalp, dries and combs hair.
• Writes clinical observations during seizures and emergencies.
• Logs and stamps records, file in reading room.
• Ensures electrical safety, performs minor repairs and reports major problems.
• Keeps EEG room clean, cleans equipment, and manages paste containers.
• Participates in conferences and educational activities when possible.
• Performs other duties as requested.
