The project focuses on neural circuit mechanisms of memory formation using cutting-edge techniques, including photometry, electrophysiology, and computational analyses. The role involves in vivo/in vitro experiments, data analysis, mentoring students, grant writing support, and presenting findings at meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Biological Sciences or related field.
  • Solid background in neuroscience and biology, including electrophysiology, molecular biology, rodent behavioral testing, and computational approaches.

Responsibilities

  • 60% Conduct in vivo or in vitro experiments to elucidate neural circuits responsible for memory formation.
  • 20% Perform in-depth analysis of data and conduct literature search to keep abreast of the new findings in the field.
  • 10% Train undergraduate and graduate students in the lab.
  • 5% Assist in grant writing.
  • 5% Present findings during lab meetings, departmental seminars, and scientific conferences.
