Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in Livermore, CA to join the Materials Physics Department. The role focuses on prototyping and testing memory devices, exploring their physical properties, and applying neuromorphic-inspired algorithms and matrix operations.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience in electronic materials synthesis and electronic properties measurement.
• A record of publications in peer‑reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize materials with sputter deposition and other means.
• Perform clean room fabrication.
• Conduct low/high temperature electronic transport measurements.
• Electrically test device structures with team collaboration.
• Work independently and contribute to team efforts.
• Present results at national/international meetings and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
