Job Description: Tools Support SME

We are seeking a Tools Team Member to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of multiple enterprise tools. This role involves managing, troubleshooting, planning, and implementing software releases, patches, and upgrades. The SME is also responsible for maintaining documentation and managing change and incident tickets, while following ITSM processes for installations and validations.

Primary Tools Supported:

• OpenText NNMi
• OpenText Network Automation
• SevOne NMS and DI
• Vertiv DSView
• BMC TrueServer Automation (for agent installation via automation jobs)

Secondary Tools:

• IBM License Metric Tool
• LoadRunner Enterprise

Qualifications / Responsibilities:

• Strong attention to detail
• System administration experience on Windows, Solaris, and RHEL
• Scripting skills in .bat and .sh (Java and Perl experience is a plus)
• Strong investigation and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with automation tools and developing/running automation jobs
• AWS certification and experience with cloud tools is a plus
• College degree or 5–10 years of relevant technical experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
