SENIOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a Senior Service Technician to join our service team. The technician will be responsible for assessing and completing work orders for repairs and improvements, playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing the value of our apartment community in Arlington, VA.

What The Senior Service Technician Will Be Doing
  • Coordinating and supervising daily assignments and activities of service staff.
  • Completing maintenance service requests, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs, and managing department service requests.
  • Handling apartment turnover processes and scheduled maintenance projects.
  • Participating in on-call maintenance service rotation, weekend and weather-related work, and responding to property emergencies.
  • Maintaining common areas, grounds, and the interior and exterior of buildings.
  • Supervising department and contracted staff, managing vendor relations, and handling department inventory controls.
  • Assisting the Property Manager with department budget planning, property inspections, and maintenance project coordination.
What The Senior Service Technician Will Need To Succeed
  • At least 5 years of residential apartment maintenance experience and 2 years of staff supervisory experience.
  • HVAC certification and relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform medium/heavy work, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 100 lbs, and working at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Access to property within 30 minutes for on-call requests.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
