Verizon is seeking a Network Threat Hunter to proactively identify threats within its network. The role combines security expertise with networking knowledge to predict, mitigate, and respond to threats that could impact network operations.

The candidate should have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of network infrastructure, and a track record of deriving actionable artifacts for stakeholder teams. This role may be located at any US-based Verizon hub.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Four more years of experience in designing, testing or operating networks with switching and routing (OSI model, protocols, BGP, NetFlow).

Responsabilidades

• Staying up-to-date on emerging global threat activity and trends affecting telecommunications infrastructure.
• Leading analysis of network traffic and events to identify threats and present insights to stakeholders.
• Evolving threat hunting techniques using internal and external data sources and intelligence.
• Conducting time-sensitive analysis during cyber investigations, including active threat hunting and malware analysis.
• Identifying potential threat vectors and vulnerabilities through log data, malware, packet captures, analytics, and other artifacts.
