Qualifications

• Five years of relevant work experience is required.
• Experience providing Level two technical desktop and network support in a large multi-platform environment OR one year with Microsoft Certified Professional.
• Thorough knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, computer troubleshooting, operating systems and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of basic networking, TCP/IP.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems encountered by end-users.
• Configure and install Windows workstations and peripherals for end-users.
• Log requests in the tracking system and monitor progress until resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware OS issues and test solutions.
• Collaborate with IS staff to address hardware and application problems for end-user computing needs.
• Recommend system improvements to enhance performance and capabilities.
• Enforce network security and installation procedures.
• Represent and complete relevant projects, possibly interfacing with other departments and contractors.
• Maintain manuals, electronic files, and audit trails for activities and inventory.
