Job summary

South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a Network Technician I to provide program and user technical support for VoIP and mobile devices. The role includes wiring and testing Ethernet cabling, patch panels, and assisting with cabling inventories.

You will troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues and support the setup, relocation, and decommissioning of communications equipment. Qualifications include a High School Diploma with IT-related experience; an Associate Degree or higher may

Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

Provide program and user technical support for VoIP and agency mobile phones.
Support physical network infrastructure tasks including cable installation and testing.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless, and routing issues for end users.
Execute tasks related to setup, relocation, or decommissioning of equipment.
Document incidents, resolutions, and changes in help desk and procedures.
Collaborate across teams to analyze recurring hardware or service issues.
