Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Network Operations staffer for a 12‑month, onsite assignment in New Brunswick with one day of remote work. Typical pay ranges from $35.00–$40.00 per hour, with standard M-F 8:30–5 schedule.

Responsibilities include installing switches, patching ports, supporting deployments, and basic troubleshooting. Candidates should have basic networking knowledge and own transportation to nearby campuses in New Brunswick and Piscataway.

Qualifications

• Basic networking knowledge (VLANs, ports, subnets, cabling)
• Ability to read network diagrams
• Familiarity with rack units (RU), power distribution, UPS/PDU systems
• Safe handling of fiber and power
• Basic CLI familiarity (Cisco, Juniper)

Responsibilities

• Install network switches and UPS devices; patch end-user ports to switches
• Assist network engineers in deployments
• Perform basic network troubleshooting
• Conduct site readiness checks and surveys for installation; power up devices and verify status
• Escalate configuration issues to network engineers

Job description

A leading client in New Brunswick is seeking Network Operations staff for a period of one year. This is a temporary opportunity. Job details are below.

Title: Network Operations

Pay rate: $35/hr - $40/hr depending on experience

Duration: 12 months

Location: Onsite in New Brunswick, one day work from home

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5 pm

Experience:

• Basic networking knowledge (VLANs, ports, subnets, cabling types)


• Understanding rack units (RU), power distribution, UPS / PDU systems


• Ability to read network diagrams


• Safe handling of fiber and power


• Basic CLI familiarity (Cisco, Juniper)

Duties

• Install network switches and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) devices. Patch end-user network ports to switches.


• Assist network engineers in network deployments.


• Perform basic network troubleshooting.


• Conduct site readiness checks and surveys to assess network infrastructure and prepare for installation. Power up devices and verify their operational status.


• Escalate configuration-related issues to network engineers.

Requirements

• Individuals must have their own transportation as they may commute to nearby campuses within New Brunswick and Piscataway


• Good communication skills and professionalism required


• Must be punctual, dependable and reliable

Pay Details

$35.00 to $40.00 per hour
