Job summary

TEKsystems in Middletown, OH is seeking two Network Technicians to support a hospital-wide wireless deployment. This contract role runs for 3-4 weeks with potential extension, and schedules are typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, onsite.

You will install and replace wireless access points, document installations with the Mist app, inventory equipment, and ensure accurate location updates in the network maps while working independently in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience installing wireless access points or related telecommunications equipment.
  • Basic understanding of network cabling and connectivity.
  • Ability to safely work from an 8-foot ladder.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

About the Opportunity

Our healthcare customer is completing a large-scale enterprise network refresh and is seeking *two Network Technicians* to support the deployment of more than *500 wireless access points (APs)* throughout a hospital campus.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Install and replace wireless access points throughout the facility
  • Safely use ladders and basic hand tools to perform installations
  • Document installations using the Mist mobile application
  • Label and inventory wireless equipment
  • Update wireless access point locations within the network mapping system
  • Follow installation procedures and project documentation standards
  • Work independently in active hospital environments
  • Assist with removal, inventory, and e-waste preparation of equipment after cutover
Required Skills
  • Experience installing wireless access points, telecommunications equipment, or structured cabling
  • Basic understanding of network cabling and connectivity
  • Ability to safely work from an 8-foot ladder
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
  • Smartphone or laptop available for project documentation and use of the Mist application
Nice to Have
  • Previous wireless network deployment experience
  • Network troubleshooting or connectivity experience
  • Experience working in healthcare, commercial, or enterprise environments
Work Environment
  • Hospital setting
  • Some installations may occur in sterile or restricted areas
  • Protective gowns and booties will be provided when required
  • Ladders, tools, label makers, and installation materials are provided

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
