Job summary

Alignment Engine Inc. is looking for a field technician to support the physical network at the Chillicothe campus in Ohio. You will install and test fiber links, optics, and patch infrastructure while ensuring reliable turn-ups across MMRs and compute halls.

You’ll work in 24/7 mission-critical environments, read diagrams such as one-lines and P&IDs, and maintain fiber records. Training is provided; on-the-job training, an apprenticeship pathway, and certification support are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial plant, manufacturing, or similar operations.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, P&IDs, or equipment drawings.
• Comfortable with 24/7 mission-critical environments and change control (MOP/SOP/EOP).
• High school diploma or GED; trade school, apprenticeship, or military training valued.

Responsibilities

• Install and test fiber links, optics, and patch infrastructure
• Support circuit turn-ups and carrier hand-offs in the MMRs
• Maintain fiber records and labeling standards
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and validation
• Manage optics/cabling spares

Alignment Engine Inc. (“Alignment”) operates the high-performance computing and NeuralSync electronics-manufacturing operations at the Chillicothe Advanced Industrial Campus — a multi-employer industrial site in Chillicothe, Ohio, where advanced manufacturing and digital infrastructure operate side by side as the campus re-industrializes. We hire across the disciplines required to run our operations, on a rolling basis as capacity ramps.

The role. Support the physical network: optics, fiber plant, patching, and turn-ups across MMRs and compute halls.

What you’ll do:

• Install and test fiber links, optics, and patch infrastructure
• Support circuit turn-ups and carrier hand-offs in the MMRs
• Maintain fiber records and labeling standards
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and validation
• Manage optics/cabling spares

What you’ll bring:

• 3+ years in industrial plant, manufacturing, critical facilities, military, or utility operations (data center experience a plus, not required)
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, P&IDs, or equipment drawings relevant to the discipline
• Comfortable with 24/7 mission-critical environments and structured change control (MOP/SOP/EOP)
• High school diploma or GED; trade school, apprenticeship, or military training strongly valued

Training provided — experience from industrial, manufacturing, military, or utility settings translates directly.

Pay range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year
