Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union in Town of Brookhaven, NY seeks a Network Administrator to support and maintain our Microsoft, VMware and Cisco LAN and telephony systems. You will assist the Senior Network/Systems Administrator and provide user support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IT operations and systems.
• General understanding of network infrastructures, including physical and virtual environments.
• Knowledge of Voice-over-IP telephony and desktop operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Administrates and maintains user accounts and information for computer system
• Administrates network access permissions by creating, changing and deleting user accounts
• Maintains and creates system images for workstation set-ups
• Installs and configures workstations
• Installs and maintains desktop software on workstations
• Provides all levels of help desk support to users by troubleshooting and repairing equipment
• Makes recommendations when equipment or software needs to be replaced
• Collaborates with the Senior Network/Systems Engineer to plan moves, adds and changes to phone system and computer systems
• Alternates as a contact for vendors regarding computer and software purchases
• Backs up other departmental staff as necessary
• Achieves a minimum of "Satisfactory" rating on internal audits and examinations
• Completes relevant duties as needed to support the credit union's mission
