Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Sr. Director, Strategic Planning and Performance (Network Strategy) to drive a multi-year roadmap for network design, optimization and provider partnerships, partnering with LOB leaders to align statewide and regional strategic roadmaps.

You will serve as the business owner for strategic initiatives, build and lead high-performing teams, and advance affordability efforts while reporting to the VP, Network Strategy.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Requires 12 years of prior relevant experience, with at least 10 years in Provider or Health Plan roles; 15 years preferred.
• Requires 6 years of prior people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports.
• Deep knowledge of Network Strategy, Contracting, Operations, and Compliance.
• Certifications preferred: PMI- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile.

Responsibilities

• Drive and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap for network design and provider partnerships.
• Partner with line of business leaders to establish statewide, regional and LOB-level network roadmaps.
• Lead and own strategic and operational initiatives to implement roadmaps and improve affordability.
• Represent Network Strategy leadership in cross-functional initiatives and with the Affordability Office.
