Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Sr. Director, Strategic Planning and Performance (Network Strategy) to lead a multi-year roadmap for network design and provider partnerships.

You will partner with line of business leaders to craft statewide, regional and LOB roadmaps and act as the business owner for strategic initiatives. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, leadership growth, and delivering results while maintaining a focus on affordability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 4+ years of additional related experience, MBA/MPH preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant experience with 10+ years in Provider or Health Plan domains; 15 years preferred.
• 6+ years of people management experience with direct reports.
• Deep knowledge of Network Strategy, Contracting, Operations and Compliance.
• Certifications like PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap for network design, optimization and provider partnerships.
• Collaborate with LOB leaders to establish statewide, regional and LOB-level roadmaps.
• Serve as Business Owner for strategic and operational initiatives to realize roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities to improve affordability and represent Provider Partnerships to the Affordability Office.
