Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Sr. Director, Provider Partnerships to lead strategic provider engagement across markets. You will align internal functions and translate strategies into actionable initiatives that improve affordability, quality, and member experience.

The role reports to the VP Network Strategy in Network Management and Provider Partnerships. We value leaders who drive high-performing teams, mentor others, and deliver measurable outcomes in a complex healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience
• 12 years of prior relevant experience
• 6 years of prior people management experience
• Deep expertise in provider models, contract structures, and market financial frameworks (e.g., CA delegated models)
• Strong knowledge of the quadruple aim and health plan operations, product development, and regulatory issues
• Executive provider engagement experience managing multiple complex relationships
• Demonstrated execution with measurable outcomes and accountability
• Ability to mentor, lead large-scale change, and collaborate with provider partners and internal stakeholders
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and negotiating skills
• Technological and data savvy; ability to use information systems effectively
• Knowledge of healthcare utilization metrics preferred
