Job summary

The role includes server and client hardware management, software configurations, Active Directory, and security updates at the 5425 Polk St location.

The position is full-time, day shift, with potential for evening coverage and travel to other sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems in a LAN/WAN environment.
• Experience in a ticket resolution environment (Remedy or Helix).
• Experience in Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline technical support staff for local and remote personnel to obtain technical support for PC workstation hardware, software, and connectivity to network or telecommunications systems.
• Install, monitor, and maintain hardware providing Local Area Network (LAN) services; assist in support of WAN equipment and services; liaise with Data Center Services to ensure service levels.
• Install and maintain hardware and software on agency workstations and other systems; maintain patch levels and security protections.
• Provide limited instruction and user support for customers on available network, data and telecommunications hardware, and policies.
• Conduct product evaluations for new software and upgrades; identify enhancements to network facilities.
• Contribute to disaster recovery and COOP activation as needed; may involve alternate shift patterns.
