Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Austin, TX is looking for a Network Security Architect to design the security fabric from firewall policy to cloud architecture. You will collaborate with engineering throughout implementation, ensuring secure configurations and timely delivery of programs.

You will document architecture with detailed configuration notes, stay current on threats, and provide expert guidance to IT and business partners while supporting a robust cyber security program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Info Security, or related field.
• 7+ years as an Information Security Architect.
• Experience with NIST/ISO 27001/ COBIT and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of network and security technologies.
• Certifications such as CISSP or GIAC are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from ground up including firewall policy and cloud architecture.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, target state, build, and cutover management.
• Collaborates with engineering through build, validating design in real time.
• Reviews and remediates gaps, addressing legacy configurations.
• Estimates work scope and hours for security components of programs.
• Serves as technical expert to engineering, IT, and business partners.
• Documents architecture with configuration details and diagrams.
• Handles RSA-related work in ServiceNow.
• Keeps current on emerging network security technologies.
