Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services (ENS) team seeks seasoned Network Engineer to deploy and support global edge, backbone, and CDN infrastructure. You will work with project management and network engineering to plan implementations, document configurations, and ensure timely resolution of complex issues.

Responsibilities include leading deployments in POPs, developing installation packages, and advancing automation efforts, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 8+ years of IP networking experience with deploying, migrating, and supporting service provider, data center, or enterprise networks.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP).
• Experience coordinating and executing hardware installation and configuration.
• Working knowledge of TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS; IPv4/IPv6.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise and carrier-class routing, switching, and optical transport platforms.
• Knowledge of data center design and operational best practices.
• Experience with Linux OS/networking and problem solving under pressure.
• Proven ability to execute network deployment and migration projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience interacting with vendors and external parties to drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support global production networks including edge, backbone, and CDN infrastructure.
• Create implementation plans with MOP, BOM, EDP, SOW and RFE.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple teams.
• Provide technical leadership during deployments in POPs (power, cooling, rack layout, cabling, installation, configuration, testing).
• Drive problem management initiatives across infrastructure reliability, policy, security, compliance, and business strategy.
• Contribute to workflow management tool requirements and automation roadmaps.
• Manage partner engineering relationships to meet business needs.
• Create deployment install packages and maintain as-built documentation and asset databases.
• Establish and promote global best practices and scalable network design.
• Support development, testing, and integration of new hardware/software platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for network infrastructure and services.
• Travel 10% to 30%.
