Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to design and scale dedicated cloud regional networks as part of the Infrastructure Operations team. The role focuses on building and automating network infrastructures, supporting multiple data centers, and ensuring high availability for customers.

You will work with internal stakeholders and vendors, develop best practices, and contribute to tools and procedures to improve operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical work experience, or Bachelor's degree in an advanced technical program.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
• General comprehension of the various components and sub-components of data center infrastructure
• CCNA or equivalent level networking certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
• Manage cabling vendor activities and performing quality assurance activities.
• Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows and participate in migration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter-connectivity issues and document solutions.
• Travel within geographical work area up to 40%, possibly including international travel.
