Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale dedicated cloud regions within the Infrastructure Operations team. The role involves data center networking, capacity management, and collaboration with customers and vendors to drive projects forward.

The ideal candidate will validate cabling, coordinate change-management activities, and troubleshoot routing and interconnectivity issues. Up to 40% travel may be required, including international assignments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• IP networking fundamentals (BGP, OSPF) knowledge.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership.
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
• Manage cabling vendor activities and QA.
• Support network deployments during change windows and migrations.
• Complete customer requests via Remedy ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot networking and inter-connectivity issues; deliver repeatable solutions.
• Travel up to 40% travel; domestic and possible international travel.
