SOSi is currently seeking an experienced NetOps Field Service Engineer to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. The customer based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for our customer, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable our customer to realize critical and time-sensitive C2 strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Administer and maintain local and wide area networks supporting multiple enclaves across three geographically diverse data centers.
  2. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
  3. Contribute to enterprise design and implementation.
  4. Analyze and resolve interoperability and functionality issues for user and network devices as well as IT services.
  5. Support the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services.
  6. Perform various tests and document results.

Additional responsibilities include managing usage and performance of C4I Mission Enclave, maintaining network security and integrity, patching and updating systems, monitoring network health, troubleshooting complex problems, interfacing with vendors, developing network procedures, participating in major network installations and upgrades, evaluating hardware and software, developing testing strategies, supporting customer-specific COOP requirements, and providing training to end-users.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility and US Passport.
  2. DoD 8570 IAT-II compliance (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, etc.).
  3. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or 8 years of relevant experience.
  4. Experience with Type 1 Encryption Devices and NSA CSfC Capability Packages.
  5. Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies.
  6. Experience in Circuit & Network Design and implementing DISA STIG guidelines.
  7. Effective communication skills, ability to work independently and in teams, and support 24/7 operations when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, VCP, RHCSA, RHCE).
  • Knowledge of DoD protocols, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Awareness of ITIL 4 framework and best practices.

Work Environment:

  • Normal office conditions, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require non-traditional working hours, including nights and weekends.
