The successful candidate will work in a 24/7/365 global department, maintain security, backups, and configurations, and collaborate with IT teams to improve network infrastructure and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of related work experience.
  • Intermediate certification in the area of responsibility.
  • CCNA, CCNP or CCVP certification preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco networking and VOIP solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports development and implementation of networking projects and new technology installations.
  • Conducts research on networking products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development.
  • Writes technical specifications for purchase of networking hardware and software.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of networking contracts and supervises contract-based installations.
  • Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end user hardware, software, and network devices.
  • Maintains servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their OS.
  • Maintains security solutions, including firewall and IDS systems.
  • Monitors network performance and provides reports.
  • Performs on-site analysis and resolution of complex network problems.
