Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronic Security Engineer 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit.

You will help design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, and video surveillance for federal, local, and commercial customers. You will work closely with project leadership to coordinate engineering, procurement, scheduling, documentation, field execution, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• 2+ years supporting commercial construction, electronic security, or low-voltage projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution with the Project Leader and Deputy Project Leader; maintain schedules, issue logs, and documentation.
• Review construction drawings and specifications; assist with clarifications and constructability reviews; support field redlines.
• Perform regular field walks; assist with manpower, materials, and field priorities; support QA/QC inspections.
• Monitor procurement status; assist with vendor communications, deliveries, and inventory tracking.
• Assist with commissioning documentation, testing schedules, and closeout packages.

Education

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
