Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Network Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain a robust network and unified communications environment across multiple states. You will ensure security, reliability, and scalability while supporting ongoing projects and audits. Strong VoIP, SIP, and network troubleshooting skills are essential.

Role requires experience with LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and disaster recovery planning, with on‑call rotation and cross‑functional collaboration expected.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; degree preferred in CS/IT.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 7–9 years IT experience.
• Advanced networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP.
• Experience with VoIP, SIP, CTI, and telecom systems.
• Understanding of security controls: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements LANs and UC environments.
• Configures routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP.
• Monitors performance, plans upgrades, ensures security.
• Creates network diagrams and SOPs.
• Participates in disaster recovery planning.
