Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a VoIP Engineer II to provide advanced administration and support of enterprise VoIP systems. You will independently manage changes, resolve complex issues, and serve as an escalation point for VoIP incidents while contributing to system design and service improvements.

Responsibilities include monitoring, configuration of VoIP devices, and collaboration with network and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Three (3) years of work-related experience, including two (2) years managing and supporting VoIP systems.
• Experience with VoIP protocols and enterprise systems such as Cisco/Avaya in large environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable VoIP service performance through monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and support VoIP devices across Dallas County facilities.
• Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support and act as escalation point for VoIP incidents.
• Collaborate with network and systems teams to integrate VoIP with other systems.
• Assist in design, testing, and implementation of VoIP architecture enhancements.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on maintenance and changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
