Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Network Engineer II- OSC to support internal and customer networking and firewall management. This role operates in a 24x7x365 Operations Center with shift work.

You will troubleshoot BGP/OSPF, configure ASR/Nexus platforms, and implement DDOS mitigation while aligning with customer SLAs and security practices. Qualifications

• BS degree in CS, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of progressive IT engineering experience.
• 3+ years of professional network engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least two of BGP, OSPF, HSRP, EIGRP, MPLS.
• CCNA certification (or equivalent).
• US citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a 24x7x365 Operations Center and be flexible in availability as needed.
• Troubleshoot networking concepts and protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN/PVLAN, STP, HSRP/VRRP, IP sub-netting, routing).
• Configure, test and troubleshoot on platforms like ASR 9000, Nexus 7000–9000s.
• Engineer and test DDOS and traffic mitigation techniques.
• Manage tickets to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct firewall rule changes and VPN maintenance.
• Triage and elevate tickets per QTS policy.
