Job summary

Jobtailor in New Jersey is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize enterprise network systems in a 24x7 environment. You will address incidents, perform regular maintenance, and produce audits and reports to support operational efficiency.

The role requires experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and 4G/5G platforms, along with strong customer service and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of relevant experience (military or work).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Technically aligned Associate’s Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• CCNA, CCNP or vendor-equivalent certifications preferred.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and end-to-end connection correlation.
• Experience with 4G/5G platforms.
• Computer support experience including troubleshooting PC hardware.
• Strong customer service and vendor management experience.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 highly visible operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues and drive resolution in a 24x7 operations environment.
• Perform regular troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Maintain inventories, audits, and reports.
• Collaborate with voice team on tickets and reports investigating fraudulent and spam calls.
• Analyze network coverage and identify improvement opportunities.
• Optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain network systems to support availability and performance.
• Evaluate coverage gaps, recommend improvements, and help implement them.
• Configure network routers and switches for optimization.
• Comply with directives to maintain network performance and efficiency.
• Provide timely network updates to leadership and external teams.
• Communicate technical details clearly and concisely.
