Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer II to support the Joint Fires Network (JFN) NOC for the GSMO-II program at Scott AFB, IL. The role involves real-time network operations across optical and IP networks in a 24x7 environment, with duties spanning configuration, incident management, and topology optimization.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, plus DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification and a current Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification required prior to start.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of circuits across routers and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity during outages and maintenance.
• Coordinate with internal/external customers and agencies to maximize network availability.
• Proactively monitor network alarms with platform management tools.
• Perform change management tasks including hardware replacement and configurations.
• Document outages, degradations, and resolutions in incident management systems.
• Assess network incidents using routers, switches, and transport technologies.
