Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer II for the Joint Fires Network (JFN) NOC in Scott AFB, IL. The role supports the DISA DGOC services and requires DoD Top Secret clearance. You will work 24x7 to ensure uninterrupted network availability and rapid incident response.

The position involves configuring circuits, routers, and switches, performing real-time redesigns, and collaborating with DoD customers and government agencies. Strong knowledge of CISCO/Juniper and network management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) required.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations across circuits, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity during outages.
• Collaborate with customers, agencies, and engineering tiers to maximize network availability.
• Monitor network alarms using platform-specific management tools.
• Manage changes including hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management.
