Job summary

Leidos in Illinois is seeking a Network Engineer I to support the Joint Fires Network in the DISA DGOC at Scott AFB. You will execute network operations, monitor alarms, and perform real-time circuit redesigns to maintain mission-critical connectivity.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with under 2 years of experience (or equivalent), DoD Top Secret clearance, DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 cert, and 24x7 shift availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with <2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline cert (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Eligible to work in a 24x7 shift
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Understanding of Transport and IP network topologies

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations across optical and IP devices
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity
• Collaborate with internal/external customers and agencies for network availability
• Monitor network alarms with management tools
• Perform change management (hardware/software configurations)
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, and resolutions in incident systems
• Assess and resolve network incidents leveraging routing and transport knowledge
